Chawan (lidded bowl) with curtain and flowers, 1790-1830

Description

Bowl with lid from the mid-to late Edo era.  On the outside, two reserves showing a bamboo curtain; two others with floral decoration.  On the inside, the “three friends of winter” – pine, prunus and bamboo.
