Description
Description: Chinese foggy chalcedony snuff bottle, painted inside by a mountain landscape in black and red inks on both sides. The fuzziness of the stone gives a misty atmosphere to the landscapes, which in fact are better seen in backlight, as shown by some of the pictures. The fuzziness of the stone is perfectly uniform, making it looking as glass, except for a spot that is on one side of the bottle. That inclusion is strongly reflecting front light, appearing like a dazzling pearl, while it is opaque and appearing like a dark brownish spot in backlight (see pictures #5 and #7).
