Description
Description: Chinese ruby red overlay over a transparent bubbled glass body snuff bottle of pear flattened shape. The overlay is well carved with a single big ruby red carp wrapped around the bottle, crossing the base, which gives the impression that the carp is leaping. It is an imposing, old bottle, very far from the modern bottles with the same subject.
Foot/base: The base is derived from the flattened body of the fish.

Dating: 19th century.

Stopper: Malachite stopper with metal collar and bamboo spoon.
