Description: Chinese biscuit brush rest molded as a mountain landscape of five peaks, with a figure holding a parasol while crossing a bridge on one side, and a house, pine and laddered paths on the other side, all covered with a green glaze. An object for the Scholar’s desk with the original wood stand.
Dating: 18th century.
Size: 5.8 cm high by 13 cm wide.
Provenance: Antiquarian market.

Notes: The five peaks represent the Five celestial mountains of Chinese mythology.
