Material: Porcelain, glazed inside.

References: A bottle with the 18 monkey clambering around rocks and trees, but in underglaze cobalt blue, without the copper red, 71 mm high, is illustrated in Robert Kleiner’s book “In search of a Dragon, Underglaze Blue and White porcelain in the collection of Joseph Baruch Silver”, at page 99.
Notes: In commenting the reference bottle, Robert Kleiner says that “the 18 monkeys do not appear to be engaged in anything special but their number correspond to that of the Eighteen Luohan for whom they might be a satirical image”.
