They lived in Liguria, (the seaside region of Genova), London, Paris, travelling through the World. They amassed an impressive collection of antiquities. Their Italian house, Villa San Luca in Ospedaletti near the town of Imperia, was originally an Anglican Church. They donated it to the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) which is a non-profit association devoted to restoration and preservation of historical or important buildings and places. The FAI has a lot of important mansions, castles, churches etc. The house, including the impressive collection of about 6,000 pieces of great quality, and a financial fund, was donated to the FAI with the only duty of preserving it as it is. Some items of the Laura collection was auctioned by Sotheby’s Paris in 2001: “COLLECTION DE MONSIEUR ET MADAME LUIGI ANTON LAURA, IMPORTANT MOBILIER, OBJECTS D’ART ET PORCELAINES DE CHINE”, Sotheby’s 2001.
