S69 An off white, black streaked jade “cubic” snuff bottle

Description

Description:  Chinese nephrite jade snuff bottle of almost cubic form, the stone of whitish/light grey color crossed by black streaks. The hollowing of this bottle is well matching its unusual “box like” shape, thus allowing an unexpected big quantity of snuff.

Foot/base:  Concave base and squared flat foot.

Mark:

Dating:  18^th / 19^th century.

Material:  Whitish nephrite jade with black streaks.

Size: 59 mm high

Stopper:  Brown stone stopper and bone spoon
