Description:  Chinese jasper with red markings snuff bottle of flattened round form. Well-shaped and hollowed, with concave mouth.

Material:  Red Jasper

Size:  65 mm high

Stopper:  Brown agate stopper with black glass collar and bone spoon.

Notes:  Jasper (a term of Persian origin) is a semi-precious stone, a compact quartz containing inclusions of different substances. In the case of red Jasper, the substance in question is iron, which combined with silicon gives this stone its characteristic colors.
